Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative including angels, demons, and sinister influences increasing in power within the urban setting.
Note: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of heroes who will separate from the primary party to begin their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team includes Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unworkable.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.
Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Motivations for Departure
For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.
The traitor then paid off his liabilities and fled to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each character has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, wants revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and cautions that it is a nasty place.
- The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could help the team reach places they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The cleric defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This results in them few options but to journey toward Timmony in search of the antagonist.
What’s Next?
Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the warrior group will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Questers and Strategists tables.
Fans can look forward to learning which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
